How CBD works

CBD has tremendous medical potential. Its uses include:

• CBD shows little affinity for CB1 and 2 receptors. Instead, it modulates several non-cannabinoid receptors and ion channels.

• CBD delays the uptake of endogenous neurotransmitters like Anandamide and Adenosine

• High doses activate the 5-HT1A receptor to which serotonin binds.

• Binds to Vanilloid, or TRPV1 receptors, which influence the perception of pain, especially neural, and heat.

• Overactive GRP55 receptors are associated with IBS and osteoporosis. CBD is an antagonist of GRP55, which means that it prevents the hormones from binding to receptor sites slowing the inflammation associated with IBS. This same mechanism encourages bones to shed old, brittle tissue so that it can be replaced with new healthy bones.

• The reduction and blocking of GPR55 activity, as induced by CBD, has been shown to exhibit anti-tumor effects in certain types of cancer including colorectal, breast, pancreatic, and brain.

• CBD activates Peroxisome Proliferator Activated Receptors (PPAR). PPARs have an anti-proliferative effect as well as the ability to reduce tumour expression, especially in lung cancer lines.

• PPARs degrade amyloid-beta plaque – Alzheimer's and Parkinsons

• PPAR regulates genes involved in energy homeostasis, lipid uptake and insulin sensitivity

• CBD acts as an allosteric receptor modulator meaning it can enhance or inhibit how a receptor responds

• CBD reduces anxiety by changing the shape of the GABA receptors leading to a heightened calming effect

• CBD also weakens THC’s affinity for CB1 receptors reducing the psycho active effect

Delivery

Delivery made easy

Messages are sent out on the morning of the delivery by our driver Tshireletso.

If you are not available for delivery, we will only be able to wait about 10 minutes, during which time we will contact you by SMS, WhatsApp, and attempt to call all known numbers to get hold of you. After this, we will take a picture of your house to confirm that we were in fact there. You can then either reschedule, at another delivery charge, or collect same from our address at any time.

Please note we cannot accommodate specific times as we do all deliveries in roundtrips and one change affects all customers on the route. We will however do our best to accommodate you if at all possible.

Any pre-order items ordered on a Monday before 3pm we will collect on the following Tuesday and can deliver from Wednesday onwards.

Any pre-order items ordered on a Wednesday before 3pm we will collect on the following Thursday and can deliver from Friday onwards.

Any pre-order items ordered outside of these times will be arranged by Whatsapp if the correct delivery day is not chosen. We cannot accommodate pre-ordered items which are ordered for delivery on the next collection day.
